First comes back in “Dark awakening” but that was as like a zombie being controlled by the Quintessons. He died in the same episode. Then many episodes later he is brought back to life this time not as a mindless zombie in the 2 parter titled “the Return of Optimus Prime”. After that there was only a three parter as season 4 then a “season 5″ which was just old episodes with live action footage of powermaster Prime telling these stories to some kid.
how does he die after he returns then back again if there are a episode then tell me

It was so they didn’t spoil the movie.
The answer is yes. Prime dies. But then comes back and then dies again but then come back again. And then he is rebuilt into Powermaster Prime and shows us stuff we already saw.
that movie was better then the live action one. and that 80′s rock soundtrack. damn goodness right there

I’ve been watching these toy commercials here on Youtube, and surprisingly this is the only one I remember from my childhood.
I thought that kid-morphing-into-a-robot effect was pretty cool when I was a kid.
in this commercial it says and ultra mangnus transforms to autobot comander. Then at the end is says does prime die?
wow, your right, way to give the movie away. and the galvatron toy is even shittier than the first megatron(even though it is a burning piece of fuck)!
The Galvatron toy was so horrible.
Yeah your right they Optimus gives Hot Rod the Matrix and he becomes Rodimus Prime again and they both fight off the decepticons Optimus gives his life to restore Vector Sigma so Rodimus regains control of Autobots. I have entire transformers G1 and Headmaster Series in US version. Well G1 is original Headmasters has been redubed in english but doesnt have original voices but other than that its all original episodes

after the short headmasters series here, when the show keeps going in japan…hot rod becomes rodimus again, i forget how they both are primes at once, but prime sacrifices himself to save cybertron..i think its only like a few eps into the season after headmasters. you can prolly find it here.. on youtube like look up 2 convoys…cause thats what the primes were called in japan
